Advanced US-Saudi Tech Powers Strikes on Iran-Backed Militias in Iraq

The United States, in collaboration with Saudi Arabia, conducted joint military operations targeting Iran-backed militia positions in Iraq. This action was in response to a series of regional attacks that have escalated tensions across the Middle East. The strikes aimed at positions associated with Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces (PMF) resulted in the deaths of at least 20 militia members and injuries to several others, as reported by officials.

In a related development, the US military announced the successful interception of Iranian ballistic missiles intended for American forces, thereby averting potential damage to a US military base in Jordan. Washington has issued a stern warning, asserting that any further assaults on US personnel or Saudi energy infrastructure will be met with additional military responses.

Adding to the regional turmoil, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards reported the interception of three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, accusing them of breaching Iranian regulations. This incident has exacerbated concerns over the security of global energy supplies, contributing to a rise in Brent crude oil prices.

The resurgence of hostilities follows a brief cessation in fighting, deepening uncertainty about stability in the region. In Iraq, authorities have initiated an investigation into recent drone attacks, although Iranian-backed armed factions have denied any involvement. These latest events highlight the escalating security challenges across the Gulf and vital international shipping lanes.
